Frequently asked questions
. Where did you study?
I graduated in the MA programme in Children’s book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University. I loved it!
Are your illustrations made digitally or traditionally?
Both, I usually doodle with a pencil, then I use a light table to redraw with a pen or coloured pencil. Then I scan my drawing and I colour it digitally.
Which materials do you use?
I like to experiment with a lot of different materials. At the moment I am using a pencil 0.7 GraphGear 1000 Pentel, Kuretake fudegokochi pen, Zig mangaka flexible, Promarker colours and Caran d’Ache Supracolour II Soft pencils.

My studio is a small room and it looks like this.

Yes, sure, just send me an email I will be happy to answer.

I have a shop / café / small business, would you draw my logo?
Yes, I can work on your logo and visual identity.
I am launching a new product and I need an illustration for the packaging, would you be available?
Of course, you can contact me and we can discuss it.
How much do you charge?
It really depends. Every single project is different. To be able to quote a fee accurately I will need the following information:
- What is the usage? What is the illustration to be used for, a magazine cover, greetings card, poster, on a website, App?
- Area of Use or Territory. Do you need to use the illustration just in your or in other countries?
- Duration of Licence. A license agreement usually states the time given for usage of the particular artwork.
- Deadline. How soon do you need your illustration for?
Will you illustrate my children’s book?
I usually work directly with editors and publishing houses, but if you are a self-publishing author and you would like to invest in your project, you can contact me and I will send you a quote.
